Madhvi starts crying as soon as she is home. Her mother asks her what happened. Madhvi says what kind of people are they. They call me inauspicious just because I survived. They used to tell me not to step out in the sun or my complexion will become dark but now they make me wait in a corner for hours. They even push away whoever tries to step forward and help me. Why don’t they kill me if I am such a big sinner? She rests her head in her mother’s lap and cries. Madhvi’s mother is in tears too.

Meera asks Bhima where he went to early morning. Bhima starts looking for something. His family asks him what he wants. He picks up an axe. I will dig a well. People make Didi wait for hours just to get water. They even taunt her. She is already going through a lot and now she has to bear all that. He asks his brothers to come help him. Bhimbai tells him against it. Bhima requests her to let him help his sister. Would you have stopped me if I had tried to do it for Manjula Didi? Ram ji says you will dig well but who will let your Didi take water from there. That will also belong to lower community. Villagers will let her die but wont let her take water from that well. Bhima asks him if well belongs to a caste too. Ram ji says no one has a caste but one can surely divide it into castes. Whatever we touch will belong to lower community always! Bhima says water is water. Why then? Ram ji says I have no answer to that. You have been living your life with this why since days. Bala says they are right even if they kill someone from their community and we may try to help someone from their community yet we will be wrong. Ram ji tells Bhima if he really wants to help his sister then he should let her be. If you will do something like this then people will kill your Didi. Bhima sits down on the bed sadly. Bhimbai pats at his head. Don’t be sad. People have good intentions yet they sometimes fail in accomplishing anything. They aren’t at fault there though. We understood this and so will Madhvi one day. Have faith on her. Will you go to school now? Ram ji tells him to make up his mind on this fact that he will be able to find solution to such questions through his books. You may not be able to dig a well for your Didi but you will be able to fill these potholes of castes.

Anand offers to accompany Bhima to school. I have heard that no one distinguishes amongst the kids there. Bhima nods. Bhimbai tells him to bathe first. Everyone smiles.

Bhima and Anand are off to school. Mangesh taunts them. Dhruv is walking from there and is shouting. Dhansukhlal asks him where he is off to. Dhruv says you have money but I am a poor kid. I have work hard to earn money. Dhansukhlal says you want to insult me by going around talking about your work. Dhruv replies that one should expand their horizons if they aren’t able to succeed. He asks Ram ji if he said the right thing. Ram ji nods. He walks up to Dhruv. Why do you have to do all this? Dhruv says I am not getting work to play music since days. No one is coming to get their shoes stitched. I thought I will get work if I will make it mobile. It will be a win-win. He leaves. Ram ji leaves as well. Mangesh tells Seth ji to think how happy Ram ji would be to see your son do this menial work. His son is studying in a school while your son is sewing kids.

Bhima and Anand are on his way to school with Guru ji. Bhima asks him about what his Baba had told him in the morning. We touch the air and water too yet they don’t belong to our community. Guru ji says all these differences are man-made. No one can make all these things on their own. There is no alternative to that but they have an alternative to this. If their well dries up and yours is fine, wont they come to take water from your well? Anand says they will do the drama of purifying our wells and will tell us not to take water from our wells again. Guru ji nods. Let’s go now. Guru ji thinks that he is glad that these people have no control over nature or they will divide that too.

Madhvi is sleeping at night. A snake walks past her feet. She wakes up scared and bangs on the door. She hugs her mother. Her father pushes her away. Don’t make our house impure. Madhvi refuses to sleep there but her father warns her to do as told. I will break your legs otherwise. He closes the door on Madhvi’s face. Madhvi bangs at the door. Madhvi’s mother requests her husband it might be a snake. She would be scared as she is a kid. Her husband tells her to understand that she isn’t a kid anymore. It wont be a snake but Kamna. She died because of a snake bite after all. Rest now. She is restless. He gives the same warning to her and lies down to sleep.

Madhvi sits in a corner and cries.

Bhima is unable to sleep. What should I do for Didi? Bala asks him to sleep. It is late. Bhima lies down again but his eyes are still open. He looks at his brother sleeping peacefully next to him.

Bhimbai wakes up in the morning. She is surprised to not find Bhima at home. She sends Manjula to Dhruv’s home to check if Bhima is there. She wakes up Ram ji. The boys are nowhere to be seen. Meera says Bhima was worried about Madhvi. He was talking about digging a well. Ram ji says he must be there. Manjula shares that all 4 boys are missing. Bhimbai tells her husband to check on the boys.

Madhvi comes to the well and gets taunted yet again. She stands in a corner. Bhima, Bala, Anand and Dhruv come there holding a pot of water. Bhima says our day goes well when we see Didi. Don’t know how your day becomes bad? Dhruv pours water in Madhvi’s pot. Madhvi smiles at her brother. Bhima tells her to use this water. We will give you water every morning. You wont have to wait till then. The ladies question them. How can you give her water and how can she accept it? A lady goes to inform the men from their community.

Bhimbai is in tears. They should have been back by now. Meera tells her not to worry. Your health will worsen if you will worry so much.

Mangesh says Bhima must be up to something. We should check on him. His allies agree. That same lady informs him about Bhima bringing water for Madhvi. Pundit ji fumes. We must protect a widow now. They head to the well. Bhimbai and Meera have overheard them. They go towards the well as well.

Dhruv and Sakpal boys are waiting for the villagers. Bhima says we will say the same thing that we have decided to. We have to sort it out once and for all. Dhansukhlal questions Bhima how dare he give water to a girl from their community. Bhima tells him to decide which community is Madhvi from. Bhimbai asks the boys to come but he goes to talk to the villagers. Why do the people of your community try to escape the shadow of a girl from your community? Why do they ill-treat her and make her wait?
