Scene 1
Harleen and Robbie come to Lalita. Harleen asks what’s your full name? She says Lalita Sharma why? Robbie says then why were you saying Varaknamata on the phone? Harleen says that’s used in the south. Meher says Lalita come have dinner. Lalita says thanks ma’am I will eat later. Meher says we all eat together. Lalita says I became Lalita Sharma after marriage. Everyone eats dinner. Harleen says Meher how are you feeling now? Eat well. Meher says I feel good, thanks to Dr. Adiit. Sarab says we have invited her to naamkaran. Harleen says doctors are asking to do social distancing. Sarab says no one is even coming from Atari. We will go there. Only Aditi. Sarab says aunt’s decide the names. You will decide it. Harleen says I am not interested in naming anyone. Param says Meher mama who named me? Sarab says Harleen bua. Param says bua when you gave me my name why not chotu baby? You are his aunt as well. Sarab says Param eat your food. Param says papa is being rude to me a lot these days.

Aditi looks at old photos. It has a woman’s photo as well that has a label of ‘maa’. Meemsi comes outside. Aditi says who is here? I asked you never to come in this room. He says I didn’t enter. Lalita called. She said Harleen knows maybe that Sarab isn’t that baby’s child. She said no to naming the baby.

Param looks for Khushi. He sees her doll in the dustbin. Param asks Harleen where is Khushi? Harleen says it’s late so she slept. Param says her doll was in dustbin outside. Harleen says see she threw it out because she got a new one. Robbie says so what? She got a new one so she threw out the older one. Harleen says but you can’t forget the older things when you have new. Robbie says new things become your favorite. Param says people get bored from old dolls? Robbie says like your mama papa are bored of you after they have a new baby. Param says no you’re lying. Mama papa aren’t bored of me. Harleen says yeah you are our special baby. Mama papa love you and they get you a gift every week. What did they get last week? He recalls the cot. Param says I didn’t get anything. The cot was for the baby as well. Harleen says don’t worry, I am here, I will get you gifts. Param leaves.

Meher says sibling rivalry is common. Param is a child as well. I don’t want him to feel that he’s neglected. Sarab I felt the same. So I first ordered two cots but then I thought Param is grown up. Meher now everything will be two in this house. Sarab okay. Something goes in her eyes. Sarab cleans her eye. Their theme song places. Sarab tucks her strand of hair behind her ear. He says these strands look like a moon’s shadow. Meher says nice poetry. He says it’s mine. Meher says you never told me you write poetry. He says what will I get if you like it? Meher says a bit thumb, she runs.

Scene 2
Param comes to the baby and says I didn’t even touch you and you started crying and papa scolded me. You have new toys I also want new toys. The baby starts crying. Param says are you saying sorry? If you smile I will think you’re saying sorry. The baby smiles. Param says you said sorry, it’s okay. Are you feeling bad that I sleep with mama and papa? Param loves you. You can also sleep with mama and papa. He tries to pick the baby. Meher and Sarab are coming there. Param picks the baby and takes him towards the bed. Param slips and the baby falls. Meher and Sarab scream. The baby fell on a cushion. Meher sits down it shock. Sarab picks the baby. Meher hugs Param and says are you okay? Harleen says what happened? Sarab says baby fell from Param’s hand. Sarab says Lalita please check the baby. Param says I didn’t make him fall.

Sarab says thank God he fell on the cushion. Robbie says is the baby okay? Lalita says he’s fine. Don’t worry. Param says papa, baby wanted to sleep on the bed with you two. Sarab says just shut up. I told you this cot is baby’s. Why did you pick him then? What if something serious happened? You’re getting stubborn day by day. Param says papa I felt like.. Sarab says I feel like slapping.. Meher says is this how you talk to kids? You can’t talk to Param like that. Sarab says there’s a difference between mistakes and being spoiled. Meher says Param, it’s okay. But say sorry. Harleen says why would he say sorry? Sarab says what? Harleen says Sarab how dare you talk to my Param like that? He’s a child. I won’t tolerate this tone against him. Param says you’re bad. You always scold me. You didn’t even come check if I fell as well. Param hugs Harleen and says I will sleep with you. They are bad. I don’t want to sleep with them. Harleen picks Sarab and leaves.

Meher goes after Param. Sarab stops her and says a little strictness is important for him otherwise this will become a habit. He’s becoming very stubborn. Let him be. Meher says but.. Sarab says let him be with Harleen. He will be fine.

Param cries. Harleen says you are my lion baby. Don’t cry. Robbie says what else would he do? He’s being neglected by his parents. Sarab was about to slap him. Harleen says your mama can be mama of another person’s mom and your papa can be dad of another person’s baby but your Harleen bua is only yours forever. Param says I love you. Harleen hugs him and says promise me you will never talk to or play with the baby ever again? Param says promise I won’t. Harleen hugs him.
