Kammo walks to NB’s house and cries. NB asks what happened to her. Kammo informs that Minnie rejected her monetary help and explains whole story. Minnie hears their conversation standing in her balcony. Kammo says she brought 20000 rs in envelope and requests NB and Biji to somehow convince Minnie to accept it as she knows Minnie will get funds somehow, but she really wants to help Kammo by heart. Kammo calls NB and asks her to keep call on. Kammo starts her story describing that she was a lively young girl who used to ride bicycle wearing chunri and her mother always used to teach her discipline, one day her cycle chain slipped off, a 50+ man stopped her and asked if he should fix her chain. She ran away from there and each day he used to pester her; when she complained her mother, mother blamed her instead, one day he succeeded in touching her, she felt ashamed of herself and to get out of her sorrows, she started befriending boys and even tried to elope with a boy, whole Karnal town came to know about it and nobody was ready to marry her, her father paid a huge dowry to Khatri and got her married to him; she knows how wrong Khatri is and wants to lessen her guilt by helping Minnie. Minnie signals NB to accept her help. NB does same. Kammo thanks her.
In the evening, Minnie walks to Neil while he is busy reading novel. She sits next to him and describes Kammo’s story and what she felt, she says she chose Neil as her soul mate and enjoys their silence. She tries to lean on his shoulder while he reciprocates. He gets a message. She asks whose message is it. He says a friend, something very personal. She says she is jealous. He nervously walks away.
Next morning, Bobby informs Minnie that student’s parents don’t want to support them fearing their children will also be cornered. Neil says their fear is valid and asks what will we do now. Minnie says they will start a campaign and spread awareness, parents will come forward then as children would have been abused in one way or other and they need closure by pouring their heart out, so they should listen to them and help them heal their mental wounds. Neil, Bobby, and Preet agree. Bobby says Arya’s school students’ parents may agree, Minnie says Neha’s mother should first. They start campaign hash tag chuppi no more, no more silence, etc.
At night, Vinita gets Minnie’s message. Husband asks who is caling her at this time.
