It is everyone’s birth right to live and die a respectful life. One must continue to struggle for it throughout their life.
Ram ji says the kids are admitted in the school. Now I have to find a job for myself. His sister asks him about the school. He replies that it is good and big. His wife says Bheema must be thrilled. He smiles. Do you need to ask this? He was already flying on his way to school. He was very happy. Bheema and Anand enter just then. Their family notices their sad faces. Ram ji asks them why they came home early. Bheema refuses to study in that school. We have been asked to stand outside the class. Guru ji taunted us when we told him that we couldn’t hear him from outside. we were not at fault. His mother comforts him. Ram ji asks about Bala. Anand says we don’t know. Bheema is right though. We wont study in that school. Ram ji shouts at him. You wont leave school! Anand is shaken by his outburst. Ram ji calms down. He sits next to his son. Everyone will say that you left school because you were afraid to study. Bheema asks him how they should study then. Ram ji advises him to fight to study or everyone will call them cowards. Don’t run! From tomorrow we have to fight the battle of getting inside the classroom to study. Always remember that you must fight any kind of battle in order to gain knowledge. You must win! This will be your biggest test. This is what you must do from tomorrow. Bheema says we will sit inside the class and study from tomorrow. Bala joins them. He too tells the same thing to his Baba. Bheema repeats Ram ji’s lesson for him. Bala and Anand nod.
Bheema watches his brothers count the stars. They ask Bheema what he is thinking. Bheema says I am thinking how we will sit inside the class tomorrow and study. They ask him if he found of a solution. They tell him to keep thinking and resume counting the stars.
Mangesh tells the villagers that Ram ji is sending his sons to school. Villagers are unhappy that this community will also become smart now. We must not allow it to happen or they rule over us one day! An old man says we must do something about them. Ram ji’s friend happens to pass from there. A guy stops him. How many people are educated in your community? Does your kid study? He says very few and my son does not go to school. The old man advises him to tell his friend to keep his kids away from school. Mangesh threatens him. Ram ji’s friend requests them to spare the kids. I will talk to my friend. One guy tells him to advise Ram ji to give up on the idea of his kids studying. Nothing will change even if they try. They were born with this caste and they will die this way! His friend leaves.
Ram ji’s friend tells Ram ji about the threats. Ram ji asks him why they are unhappy if his kids are studying. Should I stop my kids from going to school because of them? His friend denies. I never sent my kids to school as I was afraid of them but you must send your kids to school. They should make us proud. They should find out what is written in the books because of which these villagers threaten us. Take a different route today. Ram ji says there is only one way of knowledge. They must know it too. We wont change the route. He takes his sons with him.
Villagers look at Ram ji pointedly as he passes from Mangesh’s shop. Mangesh throws water at Mangesh but Ram ji covers him. He questions Mangesh for his misbehaviour. Mangesh instead advises him to tell Bheema to walk carefully or this might continue to happen. Ram ji uses Mangesh’s Angrakha to wipe Bheema clean shocking the villagers. They argue that people like these will try to snatch everything this way. A guy raises a stick to hurt Ram ji but holds the stick and shouts at them. Do you think I wont retort just because I was silent till now? I have worked for British Government. I was a Subedar in the police. I will complain to police if you try to misbehave with my kids! He throws away the stick and Angrakha angrily. Villagers back off a little. Bheema asks his Baba to come. We are getting late for school. Ram ji leaves with his sons. He tells his sons that sometimes they have to raise their voice to fight against injustice sometimes or people might begin to think they are doing the right thing. He leaves the kids outside the school gate.
Anand asks Bheema if he thought of some idea. Will we stand outside again today? Bala says I couldn’t think of anything. Tell me if you find a solution. Bheema nods. Bheema and Anand head towards their class. The kids don’t allow them to step inside the classroom and taunt them. Bheema smiles. He lies down in front of the classroom and tells his brother to follow his example. Everyone gathers around them. The kids ask Bheema to get up. How will we go inside? they think of hitting him with a stick but Bheema refuses to move. Principal Sir comes there. He questions Bheema if this is where he should lie. Bheema honestly tells him what happened yesterday. Either everyone will stand outside with me to study or I will sit inside with them to study. His Teacher argues but another teacher justifies Bheema’s logic. Other kids fume. Principal allows Bheema to sit inside with other kids and study. This shouldn’t happen again. Bheema nods. Bheema and Anand smile broadly. Anand compliments his brother on his plan. Bheema thanks their other teacher (who had supported Bheema). Bheema and Anand step inside the classroom.
Ram ji gets a job for himself. His smile disappears when his new boss asks him his name. His friend had earlier advised him to use a fake name there. Ram ji is in a fix.
Bheema’s teacher argues with the Principal as to how these kids will sit with other kids. They are fuming. Principal says make them sit separately. Go now.
The kids are fighting with Bheema as he was trying to sit near them. Their teacher suggests Bheema and Anand to sit in a corner if they actually want to study. Bheema and Anand comply. Teacher eyes them pointedly. They might be the kids of an ex-Subedar but the pride will go away soon. You will very soon become who you are!
Precap: Bheema asks for water but the guy stops him. He is asked to sit down, spread his hands to drink water. On the other hand, Ram ji experiences something similar when he feels thirsty. Bheema comes home and tells his father he wont go to school after today. It’s not a nice place.
