Sameer comes out of shower and smiles looking at Naina. He then goes out and Naina wakes up. She gets stressed out as she can’t find sanitary napkin.

Downstairs, Sameer is praying. Naina comes. He invites her, but she says no. He thinks she is still upset with her. She makes excuses to go to market.

In market, Preeti and Bela stop to eat ice cream. When they return, Taiji taunts them in front of neighbors that they have money to buy things from market. Neighbors also take Taiji side saying they used to think Anand did marriage with his own money, they didn’t know it was stolen money.

Naina comes back home and hides something. Female narrator says that day it wasn’t common for girls to discuss about their periods even with their friends. Sameer tries

to see what she’s hiding, but she runs away. Sameer then asks Kanji when he fights with his wife, what does he do to make her mood normal. Kanji says he pampers a lot and informs that he’s going to village for couple of days. Naina shouts that she won’t be cooking today. Sameer decides to cook with Kanji’s help and a recipe book. Naina gets happy seeing him cook. He asks her to taste and tell how it is. She remembers about periods and leaves saying she wants to study.
After finishing cooking, Sameer tries to woo Naina, but she keeps going away and ignores him. He tries to cheer her up by saying they will go swimming, but she rudely refuses it. He asks if there is anything wrong. He can help her. She says he can’t fix this problem. He still doesn’t give up and comes back with water pipe. She asks him not to make her wet, but he doesn’t listen and throws water on her. To his surprise, she leaves from there instead going after him. He thinks he’s putting so much effort and she doesn’t care at all. He follows her to room and fumes that he’s doing so much for a small mistake he did and she’s not forgiving him. He had dreamed of them having fun in their home, but she is always upset or serious.

Bela takes out her jewelries to shut Taiji up with false accusation. She tells Taiji that they both know that necklace didn’t belong to Taiji, but she doesn’t have proof. She asks her to return jewelries only when Anand gives them their money.

Sameer calms himself down. Naina cries. He asks her not to try, he can’t see her like that. She says she’s mad that she’s doing all this. He can’t see her problem or pain. There must be reason for not doing prayer, not entering kitchen, not getting into pool. He asks the reason. She says she can’t say and he won’t be able to understand it either. It’s girls thing. He thinks and it strikes to him that she’s having periods. She opens door and asks he knows? He says he had seen in an ad and boys know everything about girls. She’s feeling embarrassed. He takes her hand and says before husband, he’s her friend and friends have no secrets. He further says he doesn’t believe in not entering kitchen and all. She says she doesn’t either but that is what she has been seeing since childhood. He says it’s their house and they will do what they like. He still says she won’t come to kitchen for next few days and that’s because so she can concentrate on her studies. She hugs him.
